Biography

Dr. Randall Halcomb served as Vice President of Chemistry at Igenica Biotherapeutics. He co-founded and served as its Co-Founder & Senior Vice President of Chemistry and Early Development at Terns Pharmaceuticals. He joined Igenica Biotherapeutics in 2014 bringing 20 years of experience in the biotechnology industry and academic life sciences. He came to Igenica from Gilead Sciences, where he most recently served as director of medicinal chemistry. In that role, he led programs that delivered multiple clinical candidates and led scientific projects spanning multiple phases of discovery from high throughput screening, to lead optimization and early development. He also contributed to cross-functional initiatives for establishing strategies in new therapeutic areas. Prior to Gilead, Dr. Halcomb was an associate professor of chemistry and biochemistry at the University of Colorado, Boulder. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Alabama, earned a Ph.D. from Yale University, and completed postdoctoral studies at the Scripps Research Institute. He also has a BS degree in Chemistry & Biology from the University of Alabama.
