Mr. Brian Kim serves as Senior Managing Director of Real Estate, Global Chief Operating Officer of Core+ Real Estate & Head of Acquisitions and Capital Markets of Real Estate Income Trust (BREIT) at Blackstone. Previously he served as Chief Financial Officer, Vice President, Managing Director & Board Member at BRE Select Hotels. He is a managing director in the real estate group at Blackstone. Before joining Blackstone and GSO Capital Partners in 2006, he was an associate at Apollo Real Estate Advisors. Prior to that, he worked for Max Capital Management Corp., a New York City-based real estate investment and management firm, and before Max Capital, he was an analyst in the Investment Banking Group of Credit Suisse First Boston. He received an A.B. in Biology from Harvard College.
