Biography

Mr. Kevin Rees Founded & served as President at The Language Works. Currently, he serves as Senior Partner at SP Consulting. Kevin Rees brings over 30 years of experience as an entrepreneur, investment banker, and CEO to clients seeking to create value through the development and implementation of business management initiatives throughout their organizations. In addition to strategy and operating expertise, Kevin specializes in the development of multi-language global communication strategies as a result of his extensive background in the language services industry. Kevin pioneered the launch and continuing management of this provider of expert, scalable, and customizable language services spanning document translation, on-site interpreting, multi-language page layout, website conversion, and subtitling/voice-overs in 130 languages. During this time, Kevin distinguished the firm as a trusted strategic partner capable of managing the foreign language communication needs of Fortune 500 companies, including major financial institutions, law firms, medical equipment manufacturers, consumer goods and pharmaceutical companies, market research and consulting firms, and advertising/PR agencies. Prior to founding LanguageWorks, Kevin spent six years with Merrill Lynch and Company, overseeing the financing of major infrastructure projects throughout the Northeast region of the United States. His expertise included financial modeling and transaction execution for municipal bond issues to fund infrastructure projects such as toll roads, mass transit systems, airports, stadiums, prisons, and water and sewer systems. Kevin earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia.
