Biography

Mr. Michael LaChance served as Principal, Operations, Information Technology & Intelligence at Wheelhouse. Upon graduation from Auburn University with a Bachelors in Public Administration, Lucky became a Military Intelligence Officer. In this capacity, he mastered the art and science of decision-making and organizational leadership and served in command and staff positions of increasing responsibility. He was also selected for the Department of Defense Post Graduate Intelligence Program at the National Intelligence University and earned a Masters of Science in Strategic Intelligence and taught strategy, intelligence and operations at the Army's Command and General Staff Officer College. He ended his 21 year career with a tour as the Chief of Intelligence Planning at Third Army which was the commanding Army Headquarters for the Middle East. In 2005, Lucky transitioned from his military career into the civilian healthcare sector. He was employed by BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee to design business (competitive) intelligence tools, metrics and applications to support several business units. In 2006, Lucky was selected to lead a co-sponsored US government grant awarded to Tennessee State University by the United States Intelligence Community.
