Biography

Mr. Deepak Jagannathan serves as Principal at Diligent Robotics. He is a scientist turned generalist investor at DNX Ventures with portfolio companies across a number of product areas ranging from enterprise software to financial services to complex hardware in diverse industry verticals from manufacturing to Aerospace to Travel. He aims to bring market and operational insights from his breadth of investment experience to support founders at an early stage. He served as a board of directors to UpLift and serves as a board observer to Sight Machine (Industrial IoT), Haven(Supply Chain Management), and co-led the investments in Nauto (A.I. for Transportation) and Cyphy (Enterprise Drone Solutions). He served as Board Observer at Banzai. He brings an unconventional background to DNX Ventures that involves a digital health startup, a hard science-focused venture capital firm, and an academic nanotechnology lab. Prior to DNX Ventures, he led marketing at EyeNetra, an early-stage digital health startup, to launch a direct to consumer optometry service. Prior to EyeNetra, he helped incubate a drug delivery startup and build investment theses in broad areas of biotechnology and advanced materials at Flagship Ventures, a Boston-based early-stage venture capital firm. He joined Flagship Ventures after dropping out of the Ph.D. program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is a published scientist with articles in such journals as Nature.
