Biography
Dr. Yangho Byeon is the Founder & serves as Senior Advisor at VIG Partners. He worked with Korea's Ministry of Finance and Economy, where he played a key role in significant landmark restructuring projects, including engineering Korea's sovereign debt restructuring, restructuring of Korea's corporate and financial sectors following the Asian financial crisis, and the successful privatization of several of Korea's largest commercial banks. His last position was the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Economy and Finance. Mr. Byeon received his Ph.D. in Economics from Northern Illinois University and his BA in Economics from Seoul National University.
