Biography

Mr. Gregory Balliro serves as a Partner at Crossplane Capital. He is responsible for sourcing and closing transactions with significant cash and profitability improvement opportunities and overseeing the entire lifecycle of investments. Before joining Crossplane Capital, he was a principal with Prophet Equity, a middle-market private equity firm. During his five years at Prophet Equity, he was responsible for sourcing and managing strategically substantial investment opportunities in complex situations, including corporate carve-outs, financial restructurings, and operational turnarounds. He executed value-creation plans alongside management teams at portfolio companies including Total Plastics, Derby Fabricating, Hatch Stamping Company, and FDF Energy Services. Before Prophet Equity, he was an associate with Energy Capital Partners, a North American-focused energy infrastructure private equity firm, where he focused on making control investments in the power, midstream, and energy-related service and manufacturing industries. He began his career as an analyst in the Power & Renewables Investment Banking Group at Credit Suisse in New York. He was involved in various M&A and capital markets transactions in the power, utility, renewable energy, and project finance sectors. He graduated cum laude with an AB in Economics from Harvard University.
