Biography

Mr. William Brown serves as Chief Investment Officer at Terrace Tower Group. Mr. Brown served as a Partner at Alternative Investment Management. William is a member of the firm's Investment Committee and focuses on portfolio management and research managers and investments. Prior to joining the firm, William was the Chief Investment Officer and Managing Member of Ely Avenue Management, LLC, an independent investment and financial advisory firm. Previously, he was a Senior Portfolio Manager at Hartz Capital, a privately-owned multi-strategy hedge fund associated with the Leonard Stern family office. While at Hartz, William had direct oversight of approximately US $1.0 billion of securities split between external and internal managed strategies. Prior to joining Hartz, he was a Managing Director at Berenson & Company and a Director of Credit Suisse First Boston's Telecom and Media Industry Group, specializing in mergers and acquisitions. He also worked as a Vice President at Lazard Frères and Lehman Brothers, where he focused on the technology, media, and telecom sectors. William is an Advisory Board Director with Alegro Capital, London-based corporate finance and advisory firm. William earned his B.A. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. in Finance and Management from Columbia Business School.
