Biography

Dr. James Mixson is the Scientific Founder & serves as Scientific Advisor at Sirnaomics. He from the University of Maryland has spearheaded the HK polymer nanoparticle technology for siRNA delivery in vitro and in vivo, which was demonstrated in a series of publications possessing tremendous potential in various applications of siRNA therapeutics. His laboratory is directed at developing novel gene therapy approaches toward cancer. Jim received his B.A. from Vanderbilt University (1974), and an M.D. from Emory University (1979). After his internship in the Pediatrics of Emory University Hospital, Residency, Dr. Mixson became the Medical Staff Fellow of National Cancer Institute, National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, MD. In 1995, Jim joined the faculty of the University of Maryland School of Medicine.
