Biography

Mr. Douglas Smith serves as Managing Director, Asia at GreenGen. He served as a Head of Investment Services at Colliers International Property Consultants. Prior to joining Colliers, he headed asset management for Fortress' two Japan-focused real estate funds. Previously, he was Head of Commercial Real Estate at Deutsche Bank in Japan, successfully originating non-recourse financings distributed as multi-borrower and single-asset CMBS securitizations. Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, he spent over six years with Shinsei Bank, heading the Real Estate Finance Group, originating corporate, REIT, and non-recourse financings. He had also worked with Nomura Real Estate Development. He has a Bachelor's degree in economics and history from the University of Virginia.
