Biography

Mr. Paul Korthals served as Chief Financial Officer at Mazarine Energy. Paul has worked in finance and management in the energy sector close to 30 years. He joined Shell as an accountant in 1985 and subsequently held a series of financial and planning leadership roles, ultimately serving as Finance and Planning Manager for Shell Offshore UK and NL at Shell Exploration & Production Europe. Paul left Shell in 2009 to pursue a career as an interim manager and has held various financial leadership roles with blue chip companies in the oil and gas industry, including serving as Manager Financial Accounting & Control and Manager Treasury at natural gas trading company GasTerra BV and as Manager Internal Audit at Dutch gas and electricity distribution company Enexis. Until recently Paul combined his work with part-time lecturing at the Hanze University of Applied Sciences in Groningen, The Netherlands. Paul is graduated with a degree in Business Economics from the Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences.
