Biography

Mr. George Mattson serves as Chief Executive Officer & Board Member at Wheels Up Partners. He also served as Board Member at Delta Air Lines. He served as an Executive Partner at Comvest Partners. He serves as Vice Chairman at Star Mountain Capital. He served as Chairman at NextGen Acquisition. Previously, he served as Co-Head, of Global Industrials Group & Partner at Goldman Sachs. His current focus is as a private investor in middle-market businesses through his family office having acquired four businesses in the last three years, which he actively manages from the Board. He retired after a twenty-year career in investment banking in August 2012. He was a partner and co-head of the Global Industrials Group in Investment Banking at Goldman Sachs & Co. from 2002 to 2012 and served in a variety of other positions from 1994 to 2002. He was an Associate at Credit Suisse First Boston from 1993 to 1994, and he held various sales and marketing positions at IBM Corporation from 1987 to 1993. In addition, He serves on the Board of Directors of Delta Air Lines, Inc. (NYSE: DAL) and as Vice-Chair of the Board of Visitors of the Pratt School of Engineering at Duke University. Mr. Mattson holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Duke University and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
