Biography

Mr. Tom Polke serves as Chief Executive Officer and President at Hometown Food Company. He also serves as an Operating Partner at Shore Capital Partners. Previously, he served as Chief Financial Officer at Ferrara Candy Company. He serves as President at Ferrara Candy Company. He led the successful merger of Farley's and Sathers Candy Company with Ferrara Pan Candy and was responsible for the integration of activities between the two companies. Before the merger, he oversaw the day-to-day operations of Ferrara Pan Candy as Chief Operating Officer and played an integral role in growing the company from sales of $100 million to over $300 million annually. His leadership roles at Florsheim, Favorite Brands International, and IVAX Corporation, along with his experience as a consultant with Arthur Andersen LLP, have allowed him to develop a wealth of knowledge in mergers and acquisitions, business re-engineering, sales and marketing, and new product introductions. He is a certified public accountant with a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Illinois. He serves as a Board Member at Sweetmore Bakeries.
