Biography

Mr. David Stileman serves as an Advisory Board Member at Corsair Capital. He recently retired from Standard Chartered Bank in Asia, Europe, and America. Mr. Stileman joined Standard Chartered in 1984, based in Hong Kong. He was appointed Chairman of Standard Chartered Asia in 1993 and as Chief Executive of Corporate Finance, at Standard Chartered Bank in 1994. From 1996 to early 2007, he was Group Head, Corporate Development, responsible for acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures, and stock exchange listings. From 2007 to 2011 he was Chief Executive Officer, the Americas, responsible for all of the bank's businesses in the Americas. He subsequently became Chairman, of Americas responsible for supporting the bank's strategic development and client coverage. Mr. Stileman is a Director of the BritishAmerican Business. He is on the Management Committee for Seeing is Believing, a Standard Chartered preventable blindness initiative, and a consultant to Standard Chartered for Art and Design of new offices. He is also actively involved with the Royal Academy of Arts in London.
