Biography

Dr. R. Joseph Tamimie served as Director, Medical at East Jefferson Occupational Medicine Clinics. He graduated from the University of Southern Illinois School of Medicine in 1979. He completed his internship in internal medicine and surgery in 1980 at St. Luke's Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and his residency in Occupational and Environmental Medicine at Kettering Laboratories in association with the University of Cincinnati in 1983. He also completed a fellowship in toxicology and occupational medicine at Eastman Kodak Company in Rochester, New York in 1984. Dr. Tamimie has published papers and given presentations based on his extensive research into the effects of chemical exposure in the workplace and the prevention of on-the-job injuries.
