Biography
Dr. David Whittaker serves as a Venture Partner at Elm Street Ventures. He is a co-founder of Navis Medical Technology and invented an electrically actuated, deflectable guidewire and torque device for endovascular procedures that is being developed in collaboration with the Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Whittaker graduated from the Naval Academy with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and received his MD from the University of New York at Stony Brook School of Medicine. He completed his General Surgery and Vascular Surgery residency at Massachusetts General Hospital (Harvard University) and his Vascular Surgery fellowship at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center (Dartmouth College). Dr. Whittaker represents Elm Street on the Samara Innovations and Occam Sciences boards.
