Biography

Mr. Thomas Kim served as Managing Director & Global Risk Manager, KKR Capstone at Kohlberg Kravis Roberts. He (New York) joined KKR Capstone in 2010 as Principal & Global Risk Manager. Mr. Kim leads KKR Capstone's risk and insurance initiatives across KKR's global offices, investment strategies, and portfolio. He is actively engaged with KKR's deal teams on risk management and insurance due diligence and advises KKR and its portfolio companies on risk management and insurance matters. Previously, he was with Cerberus Capital Management and Aon. Mr. Kim holds a J.D./M.B.A. from Loyola in Los Angeles and a B.S. with Honors from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He is active in non-profit organizations focused on mentoring students as well as young professionals in the insurance industry and is a board member of Hope For New York, which mobilizes volunteers and provides financial resources to non-profits serving the poor in New York City.
