Biography

Ms. Lizzie Grobbel served as Sustainability Operating Partner at Graham Partners. She joined Graham Partners in 2015 to support the firm's growing work on Environmental opportunities and issues, as well as Social and Governance matters (ESG), across its investment portfolio. At Graham, Lizzie works with portfolio companies on a range of sustainability efforts, including monitoring resource usage, increasing operational efficiency through energy auditing, and evaluating sustainable alternatives to traditional manufacturing processes. Prior to joining Graham Partners, Lizzie completed an engineering co-op with D.C. Cook Nuclear Power Plant. Lizzie earned her B.S.E. and M.S.E. in Civil Engineering from the University of Michigan, where she was a graduate of the Engineering Global Leadership honors program and was a fellow in the Tauber Institute for Global Operations. As a Tauber fellow, she worked with Graham Partners to reduce portfolio company energy and water usage through operational efficiency improvements. Additionally, she participated in the University of Michigan Graham Sustainability Institute's undergraduate scholars program, completing sustainability coursework, leadership training, and a hands-on environmental capstone in Germany. As a master's student, Lizzie was selected as a Dow Sustainability Master's Fellow and received a grant to start a research-scale sustainable shrimp farm in Detroit.
