Biography

Ms. Laura Vossman served as Senior Investment Officer at San Bernardino County Employees' Retirement Association. As a member of the investment team, she is responsible for the development of investment policy, manager selection, and evaluation of investment opportunities. Prior to joining SBCERA in 2014, Ms. Vossman managed multi-asset class portfolios for private clients. Previously she was Chief Investment Officer at the University of Illinois Foundation, where she managed $1.2 billion in endowment and other assets. Working with the board's investment committee, she was responsible for developing and implementing investment strategies and evaluating external managers across all asset classes. Earlier in her career, Ms. Vossman managed private equity investments at Pacific Corporate Group; regulated initial public offerings, mutual funds, and investment advisers at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission; and practiced securities law with Morgan, Lewis & Bockius. Ms. Vossman holds a J.D. from Georgetown University and is a CFA charter holder.
