Biography

Dr. Ken Akoundi is the Founder of Cordatius. Dr. Akoundi served as the President at ASPN Solutions. He also served as Senior Managing Director & President at Protege Partners. He is leading the implementation of the consultative resources and technology we provide as the building blocks of our client's investment process. Prior to joining Protege Ken was Head of Sales for Global Markets at Opera Solutions. His mandate included acquiring new clients, by developing new products, and expanding market shares for existing Opera Solutions products. Previously, at Deutsche Bank, Dr. Akoundi was the creator of the Global Markets' Pension Strategies and Solutions group. The Pension Strategies and Solutions group was focused on providing pensions, endowments and foundations with access to competitive and practical solutions that address many aspects of their business on either a streamlined or customized basis. Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, Ken was the head of risk management at Optima Fund Management. In 1998, he helped co-found RiskMetrics Group, where he last held the position of Chief Knowledge Officer. Prior to RiskMetrics Group, Ken was a Project Manager in the Risk Management Services department at J.P. Morgan, where he oversaw the development and operations of the "FourFifteen" reports. Ken has lectured, published, and presented on various risk management topics. He holds a Doctorate in Civil Engineering from Polytechnic Institute of New York University.
