Biography

Mr. Hellmut Schutte serves as Mentor & Board Director at InseadAlum Ventures. Mr. Schutte served as Executive at Tigris Capital. He joined INSEAD's faculty in Fontainebleau, France, in 1981 after some years of experience in marketing and banking. He spent most of his professional life in Asia and was one of the pioneers of INSEAD's campus in Singapore, where he also served as Dean. More recently, he was Dean of CEIBS in Shanghai. Today he is back in Singapore as Professor Emeritus of International Management. Hellmut has invested in multiple online startups including PropertyGuru, Tickled Media and iXiGO, and is a partner in the business angel firm BAF Spectrum.
