Emerging Tech Talks: Crypto and digital assets: Regulation, institutional adoption, and what's in store for 2024

PitchBook's Robert Le, a senior research analyst specializing in cryptocurrency, led a robust discussion about the crypto landscape at present — and as we move into 2024 and beyond. Joined by Rosenblatt Securities' Dushyant "D" Shahrawat and Goldman Sachs' Mathew McDermott, the experts examined crypto trends within traditional financial institutions, current opportunities, and the challenges at hand.

Key topics

  • Despite a crypto bear market, traditional finance institutions have continued to make headway into the industry in 2023.
  • While traditional finance institutions are in a better position to earn the trust of regulators and customers, they still face significant challenges.
  • The prevalence of traditional finance institutions in crypto could be a long-term net benefit, creating more safe and stable markets.
