PitchBook recently hosted its second annual football tournament at Stamford Bridge, home of Chelsea F.C. At the event, clients and friends played alongside employees in a series of 10-minute matches overseen by official referees.
The day started with 12 teams—each with a ‘punny’ name such as Kante Be Beaten and Barkely’s Premier League. Eventually, Olivier Giroud Boys, made up of members from Deutsche Bank, faced off against, Sarri Not Sarri, Investec’s team, in the final match. Investec walked off the pitch triumphant (Congrats to the winners!), and all proceeds were donated to the charity of their choice, Motor Neurone Disease Association.
All the players and spectators celebrated during the award ceremony, where Katie Parker of Barclays UK Ventures won for fairest player and PitchBook’s own Dominick Mondesir, who scored a whopping 10 goals, took home the prize for biggest scorer.
To everyone who joined us, thank you for a great event—we’re already looking forward to next year!
