A few notes on permitted use:

  • All your use of PitchBook content must be consistent with the license agreement under which you access PitchBook data.
  • Generally, it is permissible for clients to publish a few data points, so long as the data points are properly attributed to PitchBook.
  • If you are going to aggregate our data and then publish the aggregated data to a large audience, you must, consistent with your license agreement, provide the aggregated content to PitchBook in advance of publishing the content so that PitchBook can attempt to verify that the aggregated data accurately reflects PitchBook’s data.
  • You must not resell our data.
  • You must not create “white labeled” publications that use our data and appear to be authored by a party other than you.

  • When attributing content to PitchBook, please use the following citation format:

Additionally, if the data is aggregated and has not been reviewed by PitchBook analysts, the data may be inconsistent with PitchBook methodology and the following must be added to the citation: The cited data has not been reviewed by PitchBook analysts and may be inconsistent with PitchBook methodology.
