This BDC Universe update improves analysis workflows with a new “Holdings PIK, %” field available when grouping by BDC, fully supported in downloads. A newly added BDC Financials link column provides direct, one‑click access to each BDC’s Financials tab to reduce navigation time.

You can now quickly identify and search for Registered Investment Advisers (RIAs) among Limited Partners in PitchBook from profiles and screeners. This aims to streamline your fundraising and targeting workflows, particularly if you raise capital from RIAs for real estate or alternative vehicles.

This release is part of the Fund Taxonomy initiative, which will ultimately provide nine new fund fields and updates to two existing ones across all areas of the platform. In Phase 2B, discover the new and updated fund fields below to help you better analyze a new generation of fund structures.

PitchBook now includes Morningstar’s GECS industry taxonomy in the Companies & Deals screeners, private company profiles, and the company search results tab. You can filter and analyze companies and deals by GECS Sector, Industry Group, and Industry, and explore GECS classifications directly, enabling you to conduct more precise peer analysis and alignment with widely used market standards.

This release connects Saved Searches and Saved Lists with Workspaces to help keep your work in PitchBook organized. You can see and hover over the new Workspace column in the Saved Searches & Lists table to understand context at a glance, and click through Workspace names to open the Workspace page. This helps you quickly find the right saved items, reduce duplication, and keep shared research centralized in the Workspaces your team uses every day.

You can now use SIC (Standard Industrial Classification) filters on private companies and deals in advanced search, and optionally add SIC-related columns (codes, descriptions, sectors, and groups) to your screener results and downloads. This helps you quickly narrow your universe using a familiar, standardized industry taxonomy and analyze industry context at scale, both in the platform and offline. These enhancements are especially valuable if you rely on industry classification to segment private markets or compare similar companies using SIC codes.
