Help: PitchBook API

PitchBook’s API solution allows you to call specific PitchBook data into your internal business systems on demand. This flexible solution means you have access to PitchBook’s expansive database. It’s the ideal integration for CRM enrichment, allowing you to extract data on an ad-hoc basis that meets the needs of your organization.

You can explore a specific entity and retrieve valuable data, and the API solution enables you to apply specific criteria, such as location and industry, to drill down into the businesses you discover.

The API is a good solution if:

• Your scope and data points are subject to change frequently.
• You require a near-instant population of data.
• You perform ad-hoc research.
• You want to see past and present financial data.
• RESTful API is a system requirement.

Accessing the API
The PitchBook API is a RESTful implementation that most HTTP clients can easily access in your chosen language or via a web browser. Every call will use the same base URL: https://api.pitchbook.com

Create your API connection
To start your API connection, you will need to send a request directly to our Direct Data team through this link.

Or if you’re a PitchBook client, you can also head to the Plugins & Apps section from the My PitchBook section of the left-hand sidebar on the PitchBook Platform and choose PitchBook API.

From this section on the platform, you can test specific endpoints. This section on PitchBook also allows you to reach out to our Direct Data team to request access to the API.
