PitchBook Expands Non-Backed Company Dataset Across Europe

SEATTLE – September 15, 2025PitchBook, the premier data provider for the global capital markets, today announced a significant expansion of its non-backed company dataset. PitchBook has broadened the scope of European company data by adding three million non-backed company profiles to the PitchBook Platform, expanding access to a much larger universe of companies.

This expansion includes over two million profiles in the UK and one million in Germany, with enriched firmographic, financial, and ownership information to support deal sourcing, market intelligence, and due diligence. The expanded dataset includes deeper financial histories—85% of UK profiles now include the past five years of financial data—as well as increased coverage of people, valuations, and funding rounds. These enhancements reduce friction in deal structuring and provide clients with a more holistic view of the European deal landscape.

“By expanding our non-backed company dataset, we’re equipping clients with the most comprehensive and accurate picture of companies across Europe,” said Peter Escher, Chief Data Operations Officer at PitchBook. “With deeper coverage in markets like the UK and Germany, PitchBook delivers the insights investors need to source opportunities and make smarter, data-driven decisions.”

This initiative reflects PitchBook’s continued investment in high-quality datasets that provide unmatched access to companies, investors, and funds worldwide, positioning PitchBook as the go-to resource for European deal-making.
