Tech innovators, entrepreneurs and investors gathered in Helsinki last week for Slush, one of Europe's largest startup conferences. The meeting offered an opportunity for the entire Nordic region to showcase some of its homegrown tech companies.

While the nations differ widely in economic activity, they all share a relatively young and highly educated workforce, which has been attracting capital from investors for the last couple of years.

With that in mind, we took a look at the top seven VC investors in the Nordics since the beginning of 2015, along with their investment counts (excluding accelerator rounds):
