Description
American Capital Equity was a Bethesda, Maryland based private equity fund focused on control equity positions in North American leveraged buyouts. The team invested in the outsourced business services, healthcare services and devices, and industrial technology end markets. On May 23, 2016, American Capital entered into a merger agreement with Ares Capital Corporation ("Ares Capital") and certain of its affiliates under which Ares Capital acquired American Capital.
