Description
Kansas City Police Retirement System (KCPERS) is a single-employer, contributory, defined benefit public pension fund based in Kansas City, Missouri. Established in 1946 by the State of Missouri's General Assembly, KCPERS provides retirement, disability, and death benefits for the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department's officers, civilian employees, retirees, and their beneficiaries. The plan is administered by the board members. The board is composed of nine members, two are appointed by the Board of Police Commissioners, two are appointed by the City Council and five are elected by the membership of the Retirement Systems.
