Tim Clarke is Lead Research Analyst, Private Equity at PitchBook, where he covers the evolution and major trends shaping the PE industry. He also contributes to quarterly core reports on global M&A, fundraising, exit activity and fund performance relating to PE strategies as well as thematic notes on various topics. Prior to joining PitchBook, he led the private markets research team at AGC Partners, a top-ranked technology investment bank, where he published over 220 reports spanning all segments of the private technology ecosystem and related activity in tech capital markets. Clarke received a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Trinity College. He is based in PitchBook’s New York office.
Garrett Hinds is a senior research analyst at PitchBook, where he brings over a decade of experience to the firm’s private equity franchise. Leveraging his expertise in the technology sector, he contributes to the firm’s authoritative periodical research and thematic reports. Prior to joining PitchBook, he covered the software sector as an equity analyst at Macquarie Group.
Hinds received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Oregon. He is based in PitchBook’s New York office.
Jinny Choi is a senior private equity analyst at PitchBook, covering both US PE and global M&A markets with a focus on PE exit activity, cross-border M&A and antitrust risk. Choi’s insights have been cited in numerous publications including Business Insider, The Wall Street Journal and Private Equity Wire. Prior to joining PitchBook, Choi was a senior investment analyst at the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, where she monitored existing investment managers, evaluated prospective investment opportunities in all asset classes, and conducted portfolio and strategy analysis.
Choi received a bachelor’s degree in international relations with an emphasis in global business from the University of Southern California. She is based in PitchBook’s Seattle office.
Kyle Walters is a research analyst at PitchBook, where he contributes to the firm’s private equity research. Prior to joining PitchBook, Walters was an M&A analyst at a boutique buyout firm.
Walters holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and business analytics from Le Moyne College. He is based in PitchBook’s New York office.
