Join two PitchBook analysts, Kaidi Gao and Ali Javaheri, and three prominent US VC investors for a deep dive into the deep tech space. Deep tech involves substantial scientific and engineering, broadening its scope to encompass artificial intelligence, computing, robotics, energy, and aerospace.

This wide range of technology complicates understandings of “Deep Tech” as a sector in itself. In addition, the highly technical nature of deep tech sometimes potentially leads to misunderstandings or overlooked opportunities.     Ali Javaheri is a senior emerging technology research analyst at PitchBook, where he covers and maintains Emerging Spaces. The Emerging Spaces tool is a technology discovery feature within the PitchBook platform that enables users to identify niche, emerging frontier technologies. Prior to PitchBook, Javaheri conducted private sector research on global regulatory policy for digital currencies and pandemic-induced shifts in alternative asset allocations.

    Javaheri has a master’s degree in International Finance from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from George Mason University. He is based in PitchBook’s New York office.
