Venture investing before and during COVID-19

PitchBook, in partnership with Web Summit, conducted a recent survey where venture capitalists weighed in on investing as the COVID-19 pandemic continues, including sentiment towards untapped opportunities in tech and perceptions around diversity in VC.

In November 2019 and June 2020, we administered similar surveys to Web Summit and Collision from Home attendees. Where applicable, we’ve provided those results for comparison—an indication of how investment attitudes and actions have changed before and during coronavirus.
