Folake Shasanya is a Managing Director at J.P. Morgan, leading venture capital coordination for the Innovation Economy EMEA Team. Before joining J.P. Morgan, Folake was a Managing Director at Silicon Valley Bank, where she led the Venture Capital Relationship team and served as Head of New and Strategic Channels. As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, she established the fintech warehouse financing business. Prior to her tenure at Silicon Valley Bank, Folake held leadership roles at Credit Suisse, NatWest Markets, and AFME, where she spearheaded structured finance solutions. A prominent figure in the innovation economy ecosystem, Folake has developed initiatives to provide capital, knowledge, and networks to overlooked founders. Her efforts have strengthened relationships across investors, ecosystem builders, tech corporates, and government entities. Folake holds a postgraduate degree in financial mathematics from Bayes Business School and a bachelor’s degree in computer systems engineering from City University of London.
