The PitchBook Premium Connector securely connects PitchBook’s private capital market data to Claude. This article describes the capabilities and explains how to enable Claude to access and use PitchBook data effectively.
Not a PitchBook customer?
- To connect and use the PitchBook Premium Connector, you need a seat-based, unlimited, or trial PitchBook license and single sign-on (SSO) credentials.

Ready to get started?
A Primary Owner or Owner must first enable the PitchBook Premium Connector for their Claude organization. Then, individual users can connect and begin using it in Claude.
The Claude organization owner enables the connector using the following steps. Once enabled, individual users can connect and access the data directly within Claude chats.
1. Locate the PitchBook Premium Connector, labeled “PitchBook” in the Claude Connectors Gallery, then select Use in Claude. Alternatively, follow this direct link: https://claude.com/connectors/pitchbook
Once your organization’s owner enables the connection using the steps above, you can start using it by following these steps:
1. Open Claude and select the plus sign (+) toward the bottom left of the message box.
2. Select Add connectors.
3. From the Connectors window, find and select PitchBook Premium and click Connect. You’ll then be prompted to authenticate using single sign-on (SSO)You’ll then be prompted to authenticate using single sign-on (SSO).
4. Once you’ve signed in via SSO, check that our connector is enabled by selecting the plus sign (+) toward the bottom left of the message box.
5. Hover over Connectors and ensure that PitchBook Premium is enabled.
Claude will now automatically use the connector in responses when relevant to your query.

By default, you’ll need to approve each time Claude uses a PitchBook tool or data. For a smoother experience, change the tool permission setting by doing the following:
1. From your Claude site, click the plus sign (+) from the bottom left-hand corner.
2. Hover over Connectors and tap Manage connectors.
4. Select the drop-down and change permissions from Needs approval to select Always allow.
