Help: PitchBook Premium Connector Glean setup guide

Accessing PitchBook data often means switching between platforms, interrupting your workflow. The PitchBook Premium Connector lets you securely pull PitchBook data directly within Glean, with no need to leave the tool. This article walks you through the requirements and setup process to enable a direct connection with Glean.
Not a PitchBook customer?
To connect and use the PitchBook Premium Connector, you need:
- A seat-based, unlimited, or PitchBook trial license.
- Single sign-on (SSO) credentials. For more information about PitchBook’s SSO steps, visit our Help Center article Getting started with single sign-on (SSO).
- A Glean Admin who can activate and permission the Premium Connector in the Glean Admin Console.

With Premium Connector access, you get:
- 150 tool calls per hour – In any 60-minute window, you can make up to 150 individual requests to pull PitchBook data.
- 300 tool calls per day – Across a full 24-hour period, you have 300 total requests to pull PitchBook data.

The admin at your organization must first enable the PitchBook connector in Glean by following these steps:
- Go to the Glean Admin Console.
- In the left navigation menu, select Tools.
- In the Tools gallery, find PitchBook.
- Select PitchBook and click Initiate Connection to connect to the server.
- Choose which users or groups should have access, and allow access to PitchBook across the relevant products: Chat, Agents, and/or the Glean MCP Server.
Once an admin has enabled the PitchBook connector using the steps above, you can start using PitchBook in Glean as follows:
- Go to Glean Chat and mention PitchBook in your prompt, for example, "@PitchBook”.
- If this is your first time doing this process, you’ll be prompted to authenticate.
- Sign in to PitchBook from the prompt using your SSO credentials to authorize the connection.
- Once authenticated, PitchBook data will be available in your future queries within Glean.
