Overview

When you want to use both PitchBook and Harvey, switching between platforms can add unnecessary steps. The PitchBook Premium Connector streamlines this by enabling secure, direct access to PitchBook data within Harvey.

This article outlines the requirements and steps for setting up the connector, enabling Harvey to reference PitchBook data within your workflow.

Access and authentication

To connect and use the PitchBook Premium Connector, you need:

• A seat-based, unlimited, or PitchBook trial license
• Single sign-on (SSO) credentials. For more information about PitchBook’s SSO steps, visit our Help Center article Getting started with single sign-on (SSO).

Usage

With Premium Connector access, you get:

• 150 tool calls per hour – In any 60-minute window, you can make up to 150 individual requests to pull PitchBook data.
• 300 tool calls per day – Across a full 24-hour period, you have 300 total requests to pull PitchBook data.

Harvey integration steps

Someone with Harvey Admin permissions must complete the initial setup. Once your admin completes this setup, users at your firm can log in and use the PitchBook Premium Connector for Harvey.

1. Go to your Harvey workspace and click your initial in the top right-hand corner.

2. Select Connectors.

3. Search for PitchBook and click Add.

4. From the pop-up window, read the information and click Continue

5. From the following window, add the email addresses of those at your firm you would like to have access to the PitchBook Premium Connector for Harvey.

6. Select Enable Integration.

7. Log in to your PitchBook account from the next window. You are then redirected back to the PitchBook Premium Connector configuration window in the Harvey platform.

8. Tap Always allow on the PitchBook data sets you want to access through Harvey.

Once your Harvey Admin completes the setup, the users added in step 5 of the above instructions automatically have access to PitchBook Premium Connector within Harvey. To add additional users:

1. Select your initial in the top right-hand corner of your Harvey account.

2. Click Users & permissions, then Users.

3. Click Add User and enter the email address(es) of the individual(s) you’d like to add.

Once your admin connects the PitchBook Premium Connector to Harvey and adds the users, the connector is automatically integrated the next time you log in. To start using PitchBook data in Harvey:

1. Open the Harvey chat window and select Sources.

2. Toggle on the PitchBook option.
