CEO-level pay gets a lot of attention, and perhaps rightly so when executives in C-suites can make 1,000x the amount of rank-and-file employees.

But most workers reside further down the food chain. What are some of the highest-paying staff-level roles at private companies backed by private equity, venture capital or corporate venture capital investors?

The results are in from the Thelander 2019 Private Company Compensation Survey, and for a sampling of the new data—which covers base pay, bonuses, founder & non-founder equity and more for nearly 200 positions—we’ve ranked the top roles below.

The data below is for 2019 and doesn’t include engineers. Also, note that the axes are not consistent from chart to chart.
