As PitchBook makes significant improvements to its sustainable investing data capabilities, we have also ensured we are connected to the pulse of the industry. We ran a survey from July 7, 2020, to August 7, 2020, seeking out the views of investors and their advisors about this rapidly maturing space. This Sustainable Investment Survey report showcases the results of that survey, providing perspectives from LPs, GPs, and service providers across the ecosystem. Our analysts also utilize data from our 2016 ESG survey to compare how attitudes surrounding sustainable investing have changed, or remained the same, in the last four years. In addition, we highlight the breakdown of survey participants by geographic region and illustrate, through open-ended question responses, more nuanced views of the industry in 2020.
