Resource-planning startups highlight strong enterprise SaaS landscape

The enterprise SaaS sector continued its recovery into Q3 with a $17.4 billion deal value total across 640 deals, according to our latest Emerging Tech Research. That deal count comes in below average, but deal value soared to one of the highest quarterly levels in the past two years, indicating the sector’s resilience despite fewer transactions seen to completion.

Enterprise resource planning continues to take a major slice of VC funding. More than 42% of the sector’s quarterly deal value can be attributed to enterprise resource planning startups, with 40% of deal count falling into the hands of these companies as well.
