Female-founded startups in US set record for capital invested
December 9, 2019
So far in 2019, VCs have invested $17.2 billion in US-based startups with at least one female founder. That's a record high, according to PitchBook data—eclipsing last year's mark of $17 billion with a month to spare.
US-based companies that were founded solely by women are on pace to set all-time highs for their annual share of all VC deals (6.7%) and capital invested (2.8%). But based on those percentages, it's clear there's still plenty of work to be done.
