Briar Capital Real Estate Fund General Information
Founded in 2003, Briar Capital is a lender of real estate loans in distressed situations on a national basis. Property has to be at least 15% owner occupied and typically located in a 1st or 2nd tier MSA. Due to the non-bankable profile, advance rates on the real estate asset range from 50% to 60%. Cash flow and DSC are not drivers in their analysis, they take an asset-based lending approach to underwriting deals.
