Soviet era studies suggest that Padsha Ata has inferred resources of 44 million tons of thermal coal. The surveys also suggest that Padsha Ata has an additional 72 million tons of reconnaissance resources and 66 million tons of coal inventory.More recent work suggests that the Soviet surveys may be conservative.
