Mr. Arnold Schwarzenegger serves as Chief Action Officer at Netflix. He is a Co-Founder of Ladder (Food Products). He is an Angel Investor. He is known all over the globe for his many accomplishments: world champion bodybuilder, Hollywood action hero, successful businessman, environmentalist, philanthropist, best-selling author, and California's 38th Governor. He has been rewarded for his great leadership and vision many times over in many arenas, including the Simon Wiesenthal Center's "National Leadership Award" the American Council On Renewable Energy's "Renewable Energy Leader of the Decade", and the United Nations Correspondents Association "Global Advocate of the Year. But it is his commitment to giving something back to his state and to his country through public service that gives him the most satisfaction: donating his time, energy, and personal finances to serving others all over the world. He acts as Chairman of the After School All-Stars, a nationwide after-school program he founded over 25 years ago. He also served as Chairman of the President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports under George H. W. Bush. His early experiences giving back led him toward what he has called the best, most challenging job he ever had. In 2003, Californians elected him as their 38th Governor, where he worked across party lines to pass world-leading environmental laws, pushed through historic investments in California's infrastructure, and spearheaded political reforms like an independent redistricting commission and open primaries to make politicians of all parties more accountable to the people. After two terms as Governor, he co-founded the R20 Regions of Climate Action, a global non-profit dedicated to helping subnational governments develop, implement, and communicate the importance of low-carbon and climate resilient projects as well as their economic benefits. In 2012, he launched the University of Southern California Schwarzenegger Institute for State and Global Policy to continue to focus on the responsibility of leaders to transcend partisanship in order to implement policies that most benefit the people they serve. Its five priority areas of focus are education, energy and environment, fiscal and economic policy, health and human wellness, and political reform. At the same time, he continues his five-decade fitness crusade through Arnold Sports Festivals on five continents that draw hundreds of thousands of spectators into the world of health and fitness. Next year, he will make his return to the Terminator franchise.
