Boston Retirement System (BRS) is a public pension fund based in Boston, Massachusetts. Established in 1923, the fund is a cost-sharing, multiple-employer qualified defined benefit governmental pension plan which provides pension benefits for participating employees of City of Boston, as well as the autonomous agencies, including Boston Redevelopment Agency, Boston Housing Authority, Boston Public Health Commission, and Boston Water and Sewer Commission.
