North Carolina Retirement Systems (NCRS) is a public pension fund based in Raleigh, North Carolina. Established in 1941, the retirement system is a division of the Department of State Treasurer. It provides death, disability, and pension benefits to eligible members. The firm manages four major retirement systems namely the Teachers' and State Employee Retirement System, Local Governmental Employees Retirement System, Consolidated Judicial Retirement System, and Legislative Retirement System. The fund also manages the Firemen's and Rescue Squad Workers' Pension Fund, Disability Income Plan, National Guard Pension Plan, Supplemental Retirement Income Plan, and Registers of Deeds' Supplemental Pension Fund. The assets are managed by the executive management team and the investment advisory committee.
