Enterprise Ireland tops list of Europe’s most active VC investors in 2023

Enterprise Ireland has participated in the most European venture rounds this year, even as the region’s overall dealmaking has been relatively quiet.

Irish government agency Enterprise Ireland has emerged as this year’s most active investor in European venture deals.

As 2023 draws to a close, more than €52 billion has been invested across 8,569 European deals, according to PitchBook data. That’s sharply lower than the 12,722 deals worth €95.8 billion raised by the region’s startups last year.

Here are the 10 most active firms in European VC deals this year, according to PitchBook data.
