Generative AI is making robotic technology that can mimic human ability a closer reality. These ten startups have raised the most cash to bring robots to the masses.

The future may be closer than we think.

Robotic technologies with the ability to mimic—and in some cases surpass—human ability are gaining traction with investors.

Driven by advances in AI technology, more startups are experimenting and deploying humanoid robots in fields from manufacturing to medicine, raising large sums of capital in the process. In 2023, $292.7 million was deployed, according to recent PitchBook research on the space. Now, 2024 has already surpassed that figure as several startups cinch mega-fundraising in excess of last year’s total.
