More than 350 U.S.-based, VC-backed companies have gone public in the past five years, according to the PitchBook Platform, with roughly 120 of those IPOing in 2014. Over 1,300 investors have participated in some 1,600 venture financing rounds for these companies prior to their IPOs, investing a total of more than $40 billion. 35 different firms have backed 10 or more companies that have gone public in the timeframe, with 130 investing in at least five. Of all the investors, 259 manage between $100 million and $500 million of assets, while another 199 manage between $1 billion and $10 billion.
Below are the most active investors in U.S.-based, VC-backed companies that have IPO’d in the past five years.
