Description
Mr. Kevin Hartz is a Co-Founder and serves as a General Partner at A* Capital. He is a Co-Founder and serves as Chairman at Sauron. A* is a venture investment fund focused on the technology industry. He is co-founder and chief executive officer of One, a special purpose acquisition company that completed its initial public offering in August 2020, and in July 2021 consummated its business combination with MarkForged, Inc., now Markforged Holding Corp., an industrial additive manufacturing platform company. He has served on the Markforged board of directors since July 2021. He is also co-founder, co-chief executive officer, and director of Two, a special purpose acquisition company that completed its initial public offering in April 2021. From September 2016 until June 2018, He served as a partner and entrepreneur in residence at Founders Fund, a venture capital investment fund. From October 2005 to September 2016, He served as our Chief Executive Officer. From 2001 to 2015, He co-founded and held various roles at Xoom Corporation, a publicly traded payments processing company that was sold to PayPal in 2015, including serving as its chief executive officer from 2001 to 2005 and director from 2001 to 2015. He holds a Masters of Studies degree in History from Oxford University and a Bachelor of Arts and Science in History and Applied Earth Science from Stanford University.
